Desired requirements

  • Low voltage and consumption: Less than 20W
  • Small device: Mini-ITX or Nano-ITX
  • No moving parts: Fanless and without any moving device
  • Intel architecture: x86 to be compatible with current Confine (temporal requirement)
  • No hard drive: No magnetic hard drive.
  • Good CPU performance: At least 1Ghz. Dual core if possible
  • Memory: At least 1GB of memory
  • MiniPCI or MiniPCI-e extensions: Most wi-fi radios are using this socket.
